Bora Bora is inevitable but only owes it to its lagoon. Tahaa and its wonders was one of our favorite places with the manta ray washing station, its pearl grove and its vanilla plantations a joy.
Bora Bora est un inévitable mais ne le doit qu'a son lagon. Tahaa et ses merveilles a été un de nos lieux préférés avec la station de lavage des raies manta, sa perleraie et ses vanillerais un bonheur.

Charter a sailboat in French Polynesia with or without captain with SamBoat

French Polynesia is right in the middle of the South Pacific and extends over a large area similar to that of mainland Europe. It is made up of more than a hundred islands grouped in five different archipelagos. Its clear waters and fine sand make its beaches some of the most beautiful in the world. Rent a sailboat to get to know each of the islands and their incredible beaches. We assure you that you will be amazed.

Create an itinerary to sail in French Polynesia. Plan the island hopping to get to know every corner of this enchanting area of the South Pacific. You will be amazed by the beauty and richness of the islands.

How much does it cost to rent a sailboat in French Polynesia?

The price of chartering a sailboat in French Polynesia can vary depending on the season. The average price will be around 260 euros per day in the low season. Prices may increase during the high season. In French Polynesia, the high season months are from June to the end of August. If you want to rent a boat during these months, we recommend you to look two months in advance and start the rental process as soon as possible.

You can also rent a catamaran in French Polynesia to sail around the islands at your own pace.

Do you need a license to rent a sailboat in French Polynesia?

If you want to rent a motor catamaran, you must present a valid licence. If you want to rent a sailing boat, you do not need a licence. However, please note that some boat owners require a licence to ensure the proper use of the boat. We recommend that you have a nautical CV explaining your sailing experience and the boats you have sailed on.

If you do not have a licence or sailing experience, you can rent any of our catamarans with a captain. A captain will take you to the best spots in French Polynesia so that you can get to know every corner of the islands.
