Top charter company. Very friendly and customer oriented
Extremely good on the BVI Charters end of things. We received a very clean, functional and well equipped boat with service and professionalism which exceeded our expectations. The SamBoat part of the experience was largely good as well but they used Stock photos and slightly misrepresented the boat on offer. It let to us getting a tiller instead of the steering wheel we were expecting.
The British Virgin Islands are an archipelago located in the Caribbean and are part of the British mainland. It comprises four main islands, Jost Van Dyke, Anegada, Virgin Gorda and Tortola. The British Virgin Islands have more than 60 cays and smaller islands, ideal for visiting by boat. The capital, Road Town, is on the largest island, Tortola. It is famous for its colourful architecture and for having a protected park with tropical flora. In this city you can rent a sailboat, with or without Captain, to sail around this famous archipelago.
If you rent a sailboat in the Caribbean, you can sail and visit any beach you want. Visit Apple Bay beach, where you will find the best waves for surf. Another beach you should visit is Cane Garden Bay which has calm waves and is sheltered from the wind, ideal for an overnight stay aboard a boat. An unspoilt beach to visit is Loblolly Bay, one of the best beaches in the world. Another idea is to rent a catamaran in the British Virgin Islands and spends the day at Elizabeth Beach, a great place to spend time with the family and enjoy the scenery.
Sailboat rentals in the British Virgin Islands have gained considerable popularity over the last few years. We recommend you rent your boat in advance. SamBoat has several sailboats at your disposal so you can sail the Caribbean Sea. If you rent a boat you can go island hopping to have a unique experience visiting the British Virgin Islands. Start your tour on Tortola Island, then visit Norman Island and Peter Island. You can spend three days visiting these three islands. However, if you wish to sail for longer, you are guaranteed a week's sailing in Virgin Gorda and Anega.
In low season sailboat rental prices start from 180 euros depending on the type of boat. When it comes to hiring a sailboat in the British Virgin Islands, the prices vary depending on the time of the season. In the high season, the demand for boat rentals increases along with the prices. To rent any of the boats available in the catalogue, we suggest that you start searching two months in advance and start the process immediately.
To rent a boat in the British Virgin Islands you do not need a licence. However, you will need to prove you have sailing experience. It is recommended to have a nautical CV detailing your previous sailing experience.
If you don't have a license, don't worry, you can still enjoy the sailing experience. You can rent any boat from the catalogue but with a captain. Ask the captains for suggestions on local restaurants and hidden coves for an even better sailing route.
