What type of boats are available on SamBoat?

The first step in listing your boat on SamBoat is to choose the type of boat it is.

To do this, you need to log into SamBoat and go to the "My boats" tab.
You will then see a summary of your listings, and you can click on "modify the ad" for the listing you wish to modify.

You will then have access to the overview of your ad, sorted by category.

Click on the "Description" tab

Depending on the type of boat selected, you will be able to add the boat subtype: 

Sailboat : 

• Keel boat

• Centreboard dinghy

• Schooner / Gulet :

It is a sailing boat with 2 masts. We simplify the category by also including Gulets in the "Schooner" category.

- Schooner = 2 masts of identical height
- Gulet = 2 masts where the rear mast is smaller than the front mast.

• Other sailboat
  All sailboats that do not fit into the other sailboat subcategories.

Motorboat : 

Within the category "Motorboat" we have the following subcategories : 

• Open motorboat

It is a perfect motorboat for day trips and without cabin.

• Cabin Cruiser

It is a motor boat with a cabin. This cabin can be used to spend a weekend on board or for storage purposes. On the other hand, space is limited in the cabin, so the boat is mainly made for day trips or weekends.

• Fishing boat 

It is a boat that is made for fishing, the cockpit is often covered by a cabin. Fishing enthusiasts will be able to enjoy the boat and their passion in any weather!

The fishing boats can have an outside cockpit. This is the case for the smallest units. As for the larger units, they can benefit from real comfort on board and even a living room in addition to cabins.

• Power Catamaran

• Trawler

Pleasure boat that takes has the look and spirit of the old trawlers. They are very comfortable boats with often a lot of space.

• Mini Yacht (< 18m) 

The speedboat or mini-yacht is a large boat that has a great comfort on board. Some fittings can be very luxurious.

However, this category is made for boats of less than 18 m because beyond that they will be in the "Yacht" category.

• Bowrider

The Bowrider is a boat whose construction and optimization have been designed for the practice of water sports. The bow, the central glass door to access the front, the Bowrider (lounge at the front of the boat) are present on board to enjoy in the best way towed activites. 

• Pontoon 

The pontoon boat is a rectangular boat that comes straight from the United States. It has a large boarding capacity, and its use is mostly limited to lakes and rivers.

• Other motorboats

Any boat that does not fit in the other categories
 

RIB 

The RIB is a boat with inflatable tubes

Catamaran 

The catamaran is a sailing boat with 2 hulls

Canal boat

A perfect river boat for trips through canals and rivers.

Luxury Yacht

The Yacht or Luxury Yacht is a motorboat of more than 18m with a high level of facilities and comfort.

Jet Ski 

The Jet-ski can be compared to a water scooter. It is driven like a motorcycle and is propelled by a turbine.
The capacity on board is limited between 1 and 3 people depending on the model.
