Getting started with your SamBoat account

Your SamBoat account is divided into 5 parts:

  • Dashboard

  • My bookings

  • My account

  • My reviews

  • My favorites

DASHBOARD

The dashboard brings together the latest information, such as the latest messages exchanged with boat owners or upcoming confirmed rentals.

You will also see the information you still need to check or complete to make sure your profile is 100% complete, as well as useful links if you have any questions or wish to contact us.

MY BOOKINGS

This tab contains all unread, requests, confirmed and archived enquiries you have made to landlords.

Here you can follow the latest messages received, as well as paid and confirmed booking requests, and all archived requests, whether successful or not.

MY ACCOUNT

Completing your account as fully as possible will increase the chances of an owner agreeing to rent your boat to you.

This tab is divided into sub-tabs:

  • Modify my information

To do this, you must fill in your personal details, which will be used for the rental contract once the booking has been made, and also choose the language in which you wish to communicate on the site. This choice will allow you to get a translation of the messages exchanged with the owners if they are not written in your language.

If at any time you wish to delete your account, you can do so via this page.

  • Account verification

This page gathers all the verified information in your profile (phone number, ID number, sailing licence).

  • Sailing profile

This step is highly recommended if you wish to rent a boat without a captain, as it allows the owner to get to know your sailing experience better. A calm owner is more likely to agree to rent your boat to you.

  • Notifications

The Notifications page allows you to choose the channel (email, SMS, notifications available in the application) by which you wish to be informed of new messages and of the different stages of the progress of your booking request.

This is also the page where you can unsubscribe from SamBoat newsletters.

  • Bank details

This page is mainly intended for boat owners. As a renter, you can leave this page blank.
 

  • E-mail and password

This page allows you to change your e-mail address or password if necessary.

  • My payments

As a tenant, here you will find the payments you have made and your receipts.

You can download them by clicking on the link.

You can select a date and view all payments for a given period.

MY REVIEWS

After each rental, you can leave a rating for 3 months, with a mark (from 1 to 5), a comment and photos.

This page is divided into 3 categories:

  • Pending: comments to be filled in after recent bookings.

  • Sent: comments you have left

  • Received: comments left by the owners.

Each user has the possibility to reply to a comment, whether they are a tenant or an owner.

MY FAVORITES

This tab allows you to group the offers that interest you when preparing your project.

You can click Save to save this ad and easily find it again when your project is more specific.
