The Jeanneau Cruiser 490 ‘After Physics’ is a sleek modern cruising yacht available for charter in the British Virgin Islands with us. This state-of-the-art Jeanneau 490 has a sleek metallic blue-grey hull with white cove and double boot stripes, white decks, and a light bright oak interior. Ample hatches, ports, and deadlights for a clean airy modern interior. She carries her beam well aft, so not only do you benefit from a huge cockpit, (with a full coverage bimini) but the twin rudders necessitated by the wide beam also give ‘4×4’ steering under sail. The shoal draft 5’5” keel allows access to virtually any mooring ball in the BVIs. The 490 is equipped with roller furling mainsail and genoa, with all control lines led aft to inboard-mounted primary electric winches, in addition to the electric coach roof winch, so you can be under full sail, shorthanded, in under 2 minutes. There is a full array of Raymarine electronics, including autopilot, chart plotter, radar, wind speed, depth, and boat speed of course. The Jeanneau 490 sleeps 6 in three cabins with two heads and has 2 additional berths if the dinette is converted. The forward master has a centerline walk-around queen berth with a separate ensuite vanity/head and shower. All heads onboard are electric and there is excellent hanging and drawer storage. There are two double cabins aft and the nav station is located port aft with a second dinette/seating area. The galley is forward to port, the second head is starboard aft accessible from the salon and starboard cabin. There is a U-shaped galley forward of the navigation station on the port side which features deep double sinks, a 3 burner LPG stove with oven, a large refrigerator with double access from the counter and front door, a large freezer drawer, a microwave, a clever flush dish & glass storage cabinets, and trash receptacle.
