There is an open-plan saloon and cockpit with a bulkhead helm position on the port side of this Lagoon 42 catamaran. A beam of just over 25ft and a true LOA of 42ft make her feel very spacious and uncluttered indeed, both above and below decks. Flush deck hatches and handholds in the coach roof make moving around her wide decks easy and safe. The cockpit has a large table, and seating for all the crew and their friends, with a cockpit fridge to keep the drinks cold. In keeping with the latest designs from Lagoon, there is a high aspect mainsail and larger self-tacking genoa, thanks to the mast setting aft. This ensures the Lagoon 42 is one of the strongest performers in the range. Communication with people in the cockpit and on deck is easy from the helm position. Plus, the helm station has all sail controls and winches neatly to hand. There is a full array of B and G electronics including autopilot and chart plotter. The sliding hatches of the composite bimini make setting the sails (there is an electric winch to hoist the full batten main) and trimming them simple. This Lagoon comes with additional cushions for the coach roof, so there are plenty of areas to relax, underway or at anchor. With engines over 20 feet apart, manoeuvring is a breeze. The interior is Italian-designed and luxurious. It boasts a superb galley and lounge area with a dining table. Plus there is a navigation station for when you need a desk, with a view that undoubtedly beats the view from your other desk. This Lagoon 42 catamaran benefits from a lot of upgrades, including: A freezer An additional fridge in the cockpit A larger genoa A great sound system A watermaker A generator and 48,000 BTU of air conditioning. There are also some thoughtful additions. These include 110V and USB plugs in each of the 3 double cabins (with ensuite electric heads and showers) making living aboard relaxing and easy.
