How much does it cost to rent a boat in Tenerife?

In Tenerife, the prices of renting a boat will vary depending on the season in which you would like to rent. The sailing season runs from April to October with the peak months being July and August. For sailboat rentals, you can expect to pay on average €200 per day and around €3500 per week. Catamaran charters in Tenerife will be a bit higher averaging €300 per day and around €4500 per week. Do you need a license to rent a boat in Tenerife?

To rent a motorboat with more than 15hp and a length of more than 5 meters, a license will be mandatory. In case of a sailboat, if the boat is longer than 6 meters, then you’ll be required to hold a license. In either case, you will need to present a nautical CV that shows your previous sailing experience along with the waters you’ve navigated. If you do not hold the necessary qualifications or experience, you can always choose to rent a boat with a captain.
