For a day trip to Saronikos, motorboats average at around £200-£400 a day, while sailboats average at a similar cost. For a week's charter, sailboats charter at about £2500-£3000, while motorboats average slightly lower at about £1500-£2000. However, these prices are not fixed and are subject to change based on a range of factors, such as the type of boat and time of year.
If you are planning to have a hot holiday in the sun in Saronikos, the best time of year to visit is during the summer months, from July to September. Temperatures will go as high as 35 degrees during these months, while the winter months will see temperatures as low as 5 degrees Celsius. These months are also the driest months, with precipitation being most likely earlier in the year in March, however, this is still low and not common. While July to September is the hottest months, they are also the most popular which means they are also the busiest. Prices during this time are the most expensive so you should book in advance as boats and availability go quickly.
The legislation for renting a boat in Saronikos is the same as it is for the rest of Greece, depending on what type of boat you would like to rent. If you are looking to hire a motorboat, a license is required if the boat has more than 30hp, if less, no license is needed. If would like to charter a yacht, you will need a valid license as well as a nautical CV detailing the previous boats you captained as well as the different waters you navigated.
