Despite early check-in, the base was not manned or reachable by phone - neither via the Samboat phone number nor via the Kiriacoulis head office. The boat - despite being just 6 years old - was in a terrible condition (toilet lid worn out, dents everywhere, no lid for the pots that fit, no coffee filter or French press, the radar reflector was not mounted, no paddles for the dinghy, no line/cleat was labeled, all lines were almost the same color and rock hard due to the salt water, the tank was not full, even though that was what was said at the handover, an anchor chain that would have been too small for a 20-foot boat). We are used to this from many other charters. We cannot recommend Kiriacoulis/Portisco to anyone.
Trotz early Check-In war die Basis nicht besetzt bzw. telefonisch erreichbar - weder über die Telefonnummer von Samboat noch die über die Zentrale von Kiriacoulis. Das Boot - trotz Alter von gerade einmal 6 Jahren - war in einem erschreckenden Zustand (Toilettendeckel abgenutzt, überall Macken, nicht ein passender Deckel für die Töpfe, kein Kaffeefilter oder Frenchpress, der Radarreflektor war nicht montiert, keine Paddel für's Dinghi, keine Leine / Klemme war beschriftet, alle Leinen nahezu die gleiche Farbe und aufgrund das Salzwassers steinhart, der Tank nicht voll, auch wenn bei der Übergabe eben das behauptet wurde, eine Ankerkette die für ein 20-Fuß Boot noch zu klein gewesen wäre). Das sind wir von vielen anderen Charterungen ganz anders gewohnt. Kiriacoulis/Portisco können wir niemandem empfehlen.
