We have just returned from Gocek and our Lagoon 42 charter. NonnoBlue staff were excellent in sorting our a few minor issues with the boat immediately and even changed the boat for an equal spec when the generator issues could not be fixed. The boat was in fabulous condition and a joy to sail with just 2 of us managing all aspects of sailing and mooring. I would highly recommend the SamBoat and NonnoBlue combination.

Very nice area. Many anchorages although there are many boats and Gulets. Friendly people. The restaurants are expensive, sometimes almost starred (Onno, absolutely delicious but 100 € per head) Do not try with a Turkish pav. boat to go to Greece (Symi is a few knots from Marmaris ditto Rhodes) IT WOULD COST YOU 850 € plus shipping costs !!!!! Why ? According to the Greek authorities "because the Turks do the same ...
Tres belle zone.

We were so shocked by the massively increased prices in restaurants in Turkey that we will avoid this area in the future and go back to Greece to sail.
Wir waren über die massiv erhöhten Preise in der Türkei in Restaurants entsetzt, dass wir dieses Gebiet in Zukunft meiden werden und wieder nach Griechenland zum Segeln gehen werden.

So many anchorages and places to explore in the Gocek / Fethiye region. Getting used to the "Mediterranean mooring" was easy once everyone was organised. Highlights included "Saint Nicholas Island" , Cleopatra's bath, "Tomb bay" ............. all fantastic.

Gulf of Fettiye lived up to its promise. Restaurants £80/pers. Plenty of places to anchor if you don't want to go on a jetty. The yacht club hotel marina in fettiye is great

The Gulf of Fethiye is a splendid undemanding sailing area if you want to do 20Nm a day, dotting in and out of the many pretty little bays, anchoring for lunch, having a swim and having dinner in a restaurant ashore. I would avoid Fethiye itself - the marina is soulless and the town uninteresting. Gocek, however, has boomed and has aspirations to be the Turkish Riviera. I was a little surprised by the restaurant prices, which are not economical. It is important to take on water wherever possible. Best bay and restaurant: Cold Water Bay behind Gemiler Adasi.
