We LOVED our experience with La Isla Tour! Jose was fantastic, and the captain got us up close to many whales. It was a bonus having a photographer onboard who took wonderful shots of the wildlife and our group. HIGHLY recommend this company!

Overview of Cabo

When it comes to chartering a yacht in Cabo, there are many options to choose from. Mega yachts, cruisers, catamarans, sailing yachts, dinner boats etc… You name it! Unlike in Miami, you will generally always get some form of hospitality when chartering a yacht in Cabo. On some of the smaller platform catamarans that may involve snacks such as guacamole & chips (totopos) as they say in Mexico along with some domestic beer. While on the larger yachts, you’ll get a chef prepared meal onboard along with a full open-bar and mixologist to cater to your drink needs. Sometimes, the yachts actually award winning cooks and bartenders onboard. After all, Mexico does have some of the most advanced and sophisticated cuisine in the world. Right up there with France & Italy.

As with everything, a little bit of knowledge can go a long way. Let me help you not make the same mistake I have seen people make too often. There are two Cabos; San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. Many of the yachts are located in Cabo San Lucas, but quite a few are actually also located in San José del Cabo. There are two main towns in Los Cabos, both with large marinas. They’re about 30 minutes away from each other, connected by a main highway also referred to as “the tourist corridor”. You may not mind spending 30 minutes in a taxi getting to your yacht, but just make sure you know which Cabo you’re heading to before booking. Cabo San Lucas tends to feature more cruisers, sail boats and catamarans. San José del Cabo generally features the larger, more luxurious options.
